OneOffixx 2019 Roadmap

Clients look forward to the release of the new OneOffixx 2019 version, which will be available shortly

The OneOffixx template management is continuously developed. Read more information on which new offers and product features you can expect within the next 12 months in this article. As additional software for Office, OneOffixx keeps following Microsoft’s tracks. Emphasis is put on running the software across platforms on and software-as-a-service solutions. The latter is a valuable alternative to installing the OneOffixx server.

We are particularly focusing on meeting the needs of business clients and public enterprises in the German-speaking area. It will be possible to use already existing OneOffixx templates in future versions of OneOffixx.

Microsoft Office 2019 and OneOffixx 2019

OneOffixx 2019 will be available in the forth quarter of 2018. It will be fully compatible with Microsoft Office 2019, which was released on September 24. All existing templates issued with previous OneOffixx versions can be seamlessly used in the new version.

Microsoft Office 2019 is the latest on-premises version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access and Publisher. In addition, the on-premises edition also features new functions and updates for both users and IT experts alike. Furthermore, a range of valuable optimizations are available for clients, who cannot be connected to the cloud or miss out on regular updates. The new Office 2019 improvements are a selection of functions, which had been added to Office 365 ProPlus previously. Office 2019 is a one-time version and will not be subject to future feature updates. New functions, however, are added to the cloud-based version Office 365 ProPlus each month.

Future innovations are planned in the areas of cooperation, artificial intelligence (AI), security and others. Office 2019 includes updates for Exchange Server 2019, Skype for Business Server 2019, SharePoint Server 2019 and Project Server 2019, which will be released in the coming weeks.

New standard modules for PowerPoint and Excel

For PowerPoint and Excel, two completely new OneOffixx standard modules were developed in close technological cooperation with our partner Brandic. They support CI-conform colors, fonts, charts and logos. Footers can be easily adjusted. Furthermore, PowerPoint slides from different presentations can be adjusted to the CI/CD of your company at the klick of a button. The two new modules will be available as a bundle.

Subscription model

Next year, OneOffixx will be available as a subscription model in Germany, followed by Switzerland. The monthly price covers all costs for the software and for running the OneOffixx server via cloud. For Germany, the subscription will be hosted on German servers according to EU-DSGVO data security regulations. A few months later it will be available for Swiss clients on a local server according to Swiss governance.

App for Word Online

In 2019, a OneOffixx app will be available, enabling the access on company-wide Word templates via Word Online. As such, OneOffixx apps will not have a local data storage. Instead, the latest and personalized templates will be available directly from the OneOffixx Server. The app is specifically targeted to occasional users, as well as for devices outside the Windows environment.

Release depends on Office 2019

OneOffixx 2019 will be available shortly after Office 2019 is released. OneOffixx clients can rely on the fact that they will not have to wait, when upgrading to the new OneOffixx version. For each release since 2007, OneOffixx has kept its promise of a quick availability, as well as complete compatibility.
